I raced in the Minneapolis Lifetime Tri a few weeks back. It was certainly a beautiful day, if not a little hot on the run (you know, Minnesota summer heat and humidity!) 😓
I was the ninth woman overall exiting the water, but always fall back on the bike and run 😂. Typical. I struggled hardcore during the run. I read somewhere you’re supposed to commit 50% of your training to running, 35% to biking, and the rest to swimming. I’ve been switching the swimming and running, because tbh, I hate running the most. And swimming is the best. Obviously.
But my lack of running training showed. Sooooo…I’m going to grin and bear it and swap some swim sessions for long runs. Shoot me now.
